Wake Up to Well-being
Hello,
My name is Gregory Maloof.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Portland, Oregon.
I have been working professionally in the mental health and social services field for over 14 years and I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families of all ages. I also have experience supporting clients in a variety of settings, including private practice, home-based services, schools, residential facilities, hospitals, and community mental health centers.
Therapeutic Approach
I believe that a client-centered, collaborative approach is the foundation for healing in therapy. I highly value tailoring interventions to the needs of the individual to create a compassionate and supportive space for effective emotional healing, psychological growth and personal transformation.
The foundation of my therapeutic approach is mindfulness and my style is informed by over two decades of personal mindfulness meditation practice with a focus on the application of mindfulness principles to Western clinical psychology. Along with mindfulness-based methods, I also use solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and narrative therapy as well as specific trauma informed interventions such as cognitive processing and self-compassion work.
